NON-MAGNETIC PICKUPS
   MSD Pro Mags are used in extreme racing conditions and we hand build our Non-Magnetic Pickups to handle these conditions.

   Each pickup is hand wound on special bobbins and terminated to our tinned conductor, teflon jacketed wiring. A strain relief protects the wiring where it leaves the threaded housing. Once assembled, the wiring is placed in a vacuum chamber and the windings are potted in a fracture resistant epoxy compound for extreme durability.

   The Non-Magnetic Pickups are available in two housing sizes. The 3/4” model is used with MSD’s Flying Magnet Crank Trigger Kits. The 3/8” diameter pickups are used with MSD’s Sprint Car Crank Trigger systems as well as the aftermarket kits from RCD and PSI.

Every non-magnetic pickup is hand assembled at MSD!

Our new ProMag catalog has a misprint on page 7 dealing with the magnetic pickups. There are six pickups that we offer that can be used on ProMag applications and they are as follows:

Large Pickup PN 8276

3/4” X 16 X 2.25”

18" long wires with no protective sleeving, this is the pu we normally use for crank triggers.

Small, 90° Pickup PN 8169

3/8” X 24 X .75”

26" long wires with no protective sleeving, only pickup with wires coming out of the sides of the pu at 90 degrees to the pickup.

Small Pickup PN 8159

3/8” X 24 X 1.5”

36" long wires with no protective sleeving

Small Armor Braided PN 8154

3/8” X 24 X 1.5”

32" long protective stainless steel armor sleeving. (usually used if on the opposite side of the engine as the magneto).

Small Armor Braided PN 8153

3/8” X 24 X 1.5”

22" long protective stainless steel armor sleeving. (usually used if on the same side of the engine as the magneto)

Small, Universal Harness PN 8275

3/8” X 24 X 1.5”

72" long wires with no protective sleeving, universal pickup where wires must be terminated by the customer, includes amp connector and pins in parts bag.
