Whenever an accessory such as a Timing Control is wired into a Pro Mag system it is recommended to install this Capacitor. Not only does it act as a filter and add protection from voltage spikes but it will also provide power to the accessory even if the circuit is opened or a switch fails. The Capacitor will store enough power to keep an accessory activated for approximately four seconds.

This special tool may look strange, but it will help you get your timing set before firing the engine. A special cap allows you to crank the engine without it firing so you can set the timing with a timing light. A cut-out in the cap also allows you to check the rotor phasing of the mag.
