8.5mm SUPER CONDUCTOR WIRES

   The Super Conductor features a helically wound copper alloy conductor which has only 40 - 50 ohms per foot resistance. The special copper alloy conductor is strong enough to handle the high current and voltage of the magneto plus is a much better conductor than stainless steel. Even with its low resistance, the Super Conductor retains extremely high Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) suppression abilities. By tightly winding the conductor around a ferro-magnetic impregnated center core, the wire creates an EMI “choke” holding the noise inside the wire while delivering the most spark possible.

   The 8.5mm Wire is designed for performance from the inside out. The sleeving is a proprietary compound of silicone and synthetic material making it resistant to high heat as well as tough against abrasions while providing a durable crimp foundation for MSD’s Dual Crimp Terminals.

   MSD offers a variety of custom fit wire sets for Pro Mag applications, as well as Universal kits and bulk lengths.

CUSTOM WIRE SETS

   These plug wire sets are already cut to the listed applications for an easy “bolt-on” installation. Each wire is numbered for its desired cylinder and all terminals and boots are factory installed.

UNIVERSAL KITS

  The MSD Universal Kits come with the spark plug terminal and boot installed on an extra long wire. The terminals and boots for the magneto cap are supplied along with a special Mini-Stripper-Crimper tool to aid in their installation.
