Generators
   Since the Pro Mag 44 is designed for extreme racing applications, its engineered to handle it. The Generators are built around a brawny CNC machined billet aluminum housing that secures the magnetic pickup and magnet center section.

   To produce its awesome energy, the 44 incorporates 16 powerful rare earth magnets. These amazing magnets never require charging so you can be assured that your Pro Mag 44 system is always producing the power it was designed to generate. The magnet assembly and electronic components are hand assembled by trained technicians and tested thoroughly before being encased in an epoxy that completely seals and secures each component forming a vibration proof center section.

   Inside the housing, a 0.500" hardened steel shaft is piloted by four sealed ball bearings providing high rpm stability and precise timing signals. A cross drive is fit on the bottom of the shaft while a rotor plate is welded on the top for a sturdy mount for the rotor. A reluctor with eight paddles is also mounted to the shaft which is responsible for creating a trigger signal as each paddle passes the stationary magnetic pickup. Not only are there no mechanical parts to wear or fall out of adjustment, but this pickup delivers incredible accuracy.

   Two versions of the Pro Mag 44 generator are available, a clockwise rotation and counterclockwise model, in Band Clamp housings only. A cross drive is used to drive the mags and a five inch diameter cap is supplied along with a rotor and wire retainer.
