MSD Ignition has established an alliance with DuPont Engineering Polymers. On September 5th, 2002, six of DuPont's best visited MSD Ignition. DuPont was interested in our MSD Pro Mag coil manufacturing and testing techniques. They were particularly impressed with our injection molding 3 Dimensional capabilities, which also includes a complete in-house CNC machining department. The department is equipped with the latest state of the art CNC machines including:

• Sodick 450 MC High Speed Graphiter
• 2-Sodick EDMs sinkers: a A3R and a MM3
• Mori Seiki MV-40M 3 axis CNC
• Mori Seik1 SL-15 3-axis CNC
• Hurco BMC 2416 4-axis CNC
• Mazak lathe 3-axis with live tooling
• Haas HS-1 5-axis CNC

With our ever-growing plastic molding capabilities, MSD Ignition has invested in its future. Our in-house molding capabilities enable us to have plastic parts within weeks, not months like our competition. The entire part design process, from solid modeling to mold machining, takes place with in our walls. To date, MSD Ignition has manufactured 70+ molds, giving us immediate access to over 90 parts.
