The all new Digital Retard Control and Interface offer up to 32 steps of retard for each magneto! What’s better than 32 possible steps of retard? How about the fact that these can be programmed to be activated through time.
This means that all of the pneumatic activation controls and complicated hoses and wiring can be replaced by one easy to install component! The Retard Control is an extruded housing that mounts on the car and connects to the Pro Mags. The unit is potted with a polyurethane compound to protect the efficient dual microcontrollers that manage all of the retard functions that you program through the Interface. This is a separate unit that is housed in a heavy duty carrying case and simply plugs into the Retard Control. The battery powered Interface has an LCD touch screen for easy programming. Up to 30° of retard can be set in 0.5° increments down to 0.05-second intervals. The retard curve is interpolated creating a smooth, precise timing setting. The unit will store up to four different programs so changing from one to another is quick and easy. Other unique programs include a throttlelift alternate setting and an automatic pickup signal selector. This means that in the case of a pickup failure, the other processor will duplicate its retard program for the other channel. The Programmable Retard System can be used with the Pro Mag 12 and 44 systems.

The Retard Interface is built into a heavy duty carrying case the teams can carry to the staging The Interface simply plugs into the Retard Controller. There is also an output to a PC so you can download The Retard Control mounts in the car. It is fully encapsulated to handle the extreme conditions of drag racing.To adjust the retard program simply connect the Interface through a common 9-pin computer harness.
